There is a lot of happening in this world. From corruption to natural diseases to sickness and pandemic. So, how do we handle all of it? What outlook should we have on events that are not under our control? Is there a way to protect our energy in the midst of chaos?

The year is turning out to be quite a year, to put it mildly. We really do not have to state out what has happened in the past few months, but there is a lot of fear, anxiety and depression with daily deluge of news. If you have ever felt like giving up or trying to forget the surrounding problems, here are the simple ways to stay sane in an insane world.

  1. Focus on what is positive

This is popular concept to help you balance the onslaught of negativity with some positivity. Instead of focusing on how you failed, you think about what you need to do to avoid such mistake again. Therefore, you need to be intentional about staying positive if you are going to overcome the tendency to focus on threat.

  1. Confront your fears

If you have a great sense of fear, look at what is the driving your fear. Simply put the meaning of fear as “forget everything and rise.” So, to be fearless, you need to face your fears so it won’t dominate your thoughts and actions.

  1. Spend time with your loved ones

When things get bad, isolating yourself should not be the next option. Everyone feels isolated from time to time, but long periods of isolation can have a negative impact on your physical and emotional health and well-being. A much better alternative is to get around others.

  1. Take care of your health

Stress can affect your body. So, make sure you do what you can to take care of yourself. This means getting enough sleep, exercising, and watching what you eat.

  1. You can have some fun

The challenges you face may be serious and real, but that doesn’t mean you have to worry about it all the time. It is okay to laugh and it is okay to have fun especially when things are tough. This will help you to relive the stress.
