You need to acknowledge that you cannot do everything

If you say yes always, you are not going to have enough time to do anything. This will cause you stress and worry as you will not have enough time for yourself. Knowing and understanding that, it is ok to not do everything, which will really help you when saying no.

You have to say no without apologizing

This can be scary at first, but, once you know the best way of saying no to someone, it seems much easier. Apologising means that you are guilty of something and saying no is nothing to be guilty about.

You need to realise that you do not need to apologise because you are unable to do what they desire. Also, don’t sound rude, you can even offer another option for them.

Learning to say no is also having a go-to phrase. It could be “thank you for asking but, I have other commitments, so I won’t be able to help you with that”.

This is a really great strategy for you especially when you are likely to panic when asked questions on the spot.
