How to Make Pancake

You can make the not-so-stressful pancake anytime you crave it. Well, it is best served hot with either jam, chocolate or honey. Pancakes are made with those ingredients that we always have in our kitchen. So, not having ingredients will never be any excuse for not making them.

Most times, you think of pancake as just a snack. No doubt, pancakes go well with a chilled drink, but you can also enjoy pancakes in another style. Pancake is the most balanced meal you can have at breakfast as it is a blend of protein, carbohydrates, and fats and oil. You can eat it with custard or oatmeal.

So, you can try it out this weekend by preparing this recipe for your family. Yeah, mostly on weekends because you are not rushing to leave the house for work.

Ingredients to Make Pancakes

  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 1 medium egg
  • ½ cup of evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine
  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 6 teaspoons of sugar
  • Ground Chilli pepper
  • Vegetable oil

How to Make Pancakes

Step 1: Get your frying pan and place it on medium heat. Add a few drops of vegetable oil. Just little and enough oil to lubricate the pan.

Step 2: When the pan is hot, pour some pancake batter into the frying pan. Then, tilt the pan so that the batter coats the surface of the pan evenly. Try to make it a very thin coat.

Step 3: Also, fry the underside of the pancake for approximately 1 minute, shaking the pan from time to time till the pancake comes loose. You can also loosen it with the spatula. Check if it is brown to your liking.

Step 4: Don’t forget to flip it so you can fry the top side as well.

Step 5: When both sides are light brown, the pancake is done. Enjoy your meal.

Simple, right? Enjoy your pancake with a chilled drink.
