When the going gets tough, the tough get goin. However, it is extremely important to take care of your mental health. Today, there are so many issues that may negatively affect your mental health, but it is left to individuals to deliberately look after themselves.

Indeed, there is no health without mental health. The World Health Organisation (WHO) states, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of diseases or infirmity.” So, it is safe to say that, mental health is human’s ability to cope with normal stresses of life, to contribute to the society and to work productively.

Speak Up

It is human to hide feelings and not talk about the sad moments. However, for your mental health, it is okay to speak up about your feelings. When you talk about your feelings, you’d stay in good mental health and deal with times when you feel troubled. It should be noted that talking is a way to cope with problems and being listened to help to feel supported.

Exercise Regularly

Exercise helps to boost your self-esteem, to concentrate and to feel better. Well, this doesn’t mean doing sport or going to the gym alone. You can take a walk down the street or in your compound to keep you active. Just make sure you do the ones you’d enjoy.

Eat Well
