You are never fully dressed without a footwear. It could come in form of sandals, sneakers and so much more. If you are one who loves shoes, I bet you should always be on “fleek”. I mean, I love shoes but choosing the ones to fit my outfit might be difficult. Right?
Well, shoes are intended to protect and comfort the human foot; need I define that? You can use it for decoration and fashion. But, what is the essence of having a shoe and not rocking it well?
The designs of shoes vary over the years from culture to culture with its appearance originally tied to its functions. Different shoes serve its own purpose such as boots which are designed specifically for mountain climbing.
They are made from leathers, woods or canvas, rubbers, plastics and other petro-chemical derived materials.

When shopping, you want to imagine how beautiful the shoe you’d get for yourself and how your feet would be in good shape.
Some tips to finding the right shoes are:
- Know your size or take a tracing of your foot. Try wearing it or place the trace on it. If the shoe is narrower or shorter than the trace, don’t go for it. I repeat run!
- Shop for shoes during the afternoon because your foot expands naturally during the day.
- Stand in the shoes so that you will feel comfortable. Make sure you have about a half inch of space between your longest toe and the end of your shoe.
- Walk around with it to ensure they feel good. Pick the shoes that fit; don’t go for over-sized shoes!
- Then check the soles if they are sturdy enough to provide protection from sharp object. Also, notice if they provide any cushioning.
Oh well, ladies shoes are more appropriate and practical for different situations. Also, certain styles of shoes suit particular outfits more than others.
Wedges
A wedge heel gives an outfit more polished look without having to wear excruciating heels. They are comfortable, especially lower wedge.
Ballerinas
They are versatile shoes that come in different colour prints; very pretty and practical for casual everyday footwear.
Lace ups
They can be brogues, loafers, heels, ballerina pumps among others. It provides additional support for your feet as well as adjustable fastening that can be tightened or loosened to suit your feet.
Canvas shoes
Well, some call it sneakers. They are light weightier and sportier looking than ballerina shoes. It is a great choice for casual wear and it comes in different colours and styles. You can wear them with jeans and a t-shirt. Weekend outing is here, yayyy!
Flip flops
You wear this at home right? Well, if you are heading to pool or beach it is a perfect shoe to put on. They are made of foam sole with a plastic toe support in the middle. They are extremely versatile and come in different patterns.
Trainers
They are named trainers because they are designed to be used while training at the gym or yoga as well as fashion for fashion wear. Not just your legs, but your hips and knees will benefit from wearing a decent trainers. More comfy when exercising.
Heels
Can I hear owambe? They are a choice for parties, dinners or dress wear. There are varieties of styles of heel.
Boots
Women boot are choices for all seasons. They match different occasion, outfit or season. It could be ankle boots, calf boots, Chelsea boots or military boots.
