Oba Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebuland, has been appointed as the Chancellor of the privately owned Hallmark University in Ijebu Itele, Ogun State.
The founder of the university, Leila Fowler signed the traditional ruler’s letter of appointment.
The letter revealed that the monarch was considered for the appointment because of his contribution to the society.
It reads: “The Founder, Board of Trustees and the Governing Council of the Hallmark University, Ijebu Itele would be most honoured if Your Royal Majesty, the highly distinguished Royal Father, the developer, the leader of leaders, and the leader of the people in the service of mankind, would very kindly accept to dignify the University as her Chancellor.”
The monarch accepted the letter and pledged his support and best wishes to the university.
Oba Adetona said; “Looking through the profile of your University, one cannot but be optimistic about the future of this young citadel of learning. I pray, therefore, that The Most High and history would appreciate your contribution to human capacity development through education.”
